Just make sure that when you do these, do these with determination and perseverance and not just a one time event. After all, a great body isn´t shaped over night.</p>
<p> One activity that would help you have a strong tummy is an exercise that most people are probably familiar with.</p>
<p> First is that you should lie on your back with your legs straight. Bend your knees slowly and put your feet parallel to the floor. Put your hand behind your head and start to rise slowly. (Remember to put the strain in your tummy or belly and not in your head. You might injure yourself if you put too much pressure on your head.)</p>
<p> Next is that when you have risen at a considerable position, pause. Wait for a few minutes before putting your head back down on the floor. Repeat this action for at least ten rounds. If you felt that you have strained your neck and your back, discontinue the exercise.</p>
<p> Another form of exercise that would tone your tummy is just to sit on the floor and that your knees should be bent. Your feet should be parallel to the floor. Now take your left arm and place it on your chest and you should do this with your right arm also.</p>
<p> Gradually lean back and pause for a few minutes until you feel a strain in your back. Then go back to your original position. Do this activity for at least ten times.</p>
<p> Besides these simple tummy toning exercises, I would recommend you jog at least twice a week to reduce your overall body fat. Since your abs muscles are underneath your stomach fat, they won´t show unless you lose that stomach fat.</p>

<p> <strong>Hormone-replacement therapy alone costs American women about </strong>$3.2 billion per year, and that does not include alternative products like soy or herbal remedies. Hormone replacement remains a controversial issue, with claims that it increases women&#8217;s chances of getting certain types of cancer.</p>
<p> <strong>Because of the cost and the potential health risks</strong>, many women seek&nbsp; <a href="http://www.menopausehotflashrelief.com/meno/hotflash.php" target="_blank">less intensive methods for relief</a> .</p>

<p> <strong>Dr. R. Chattha, from the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana</strong> Samsthana in Bangalore, India, and his research partners conducted a study involving 120 women age 40-55 who were experiencing menopausal symptoms.</p>
<p> <strong>The women were divided into two groups, with one group </strong>undergoing an eight-week session of yoga meditation while the other group received training on exercise and nutrition.</p>
<p> <strong>The yoga group participated in classes of meditative postures and </strong>breathing, and attended lectures about yoga&#8217;s abilities to achieve a mastery of mind over physical issues. The focus in the yoga sessions was to achieve a meditative state, and &quot;slow the rate of thoughts in the mind,&quot; according to the researchers.</p>

<p> <strong>And while both groups scored well on a test of memory and</strong> cognition, the yoga group again outperformed the other group significantly in seven out of ten cognition subtests.</p>
<p> <strong>This is good news for women who also report feeling &quot;foggy&quot;</strong> at times during menopause, and possibly for aging adults in general.</p>
