The neti pot has been becoming more in vogue lately. Before you decide to use it for your sinus related problems, you may want to know a bit about the history of the neti pot and how it is actually supposed to function. After all, you always want to know as much as possible when your health is involved.

The neti pot has been used in the Indian yogic tradition for no less than millennia. It is extremely old, which speaks well for its ability and effectiveness. It is also known as jala neti. It was not introduced into the United States until the 1970s. It emerged through the widely popular yoga culture. It was actually used as a device during meditation.

As good as the neti pot may be, the hydro pulse may be a much better choice. The modern pulsatile irrigation works well.

Even after yoga turned into a rather mainstream practice, alternative cultures continued to use the neti pot. For example, it is now a part of Ayurvedic medicine.

The neti pot is utilized in nasal irrigation, also known as nasal lavage. It is something used in personal hygiene, but it can also improve certain aspects of your health. Basically, the nasal cavity is essentially washed out. This will flush out excessive debris and mucus out of your nose as well as your sinuses. Almost anyone could benefit from a nasal irrigation, they are powerful.

The pot itself has been described as looking like a hybrid of a gravy boat and a magic lamp from Arabian nights. Its design makes this flushing process simpler. The pot is most often filled with warm saline, or salt water. Sodium bicarbonate is sometimes added. The grossan sinus irrigator is an interesting choice.

The spout of the pot goes into one nostril. The liquid goes into it. Ideally, you will want the solution to either go through your nasal cavity and into the back of your throat. That allows you to spit it out. The other method is having it go into your other nostril and then come back out of it.

The power of herbs

For many years the power of natural herbs has been appreciated by some communities and the results are there for all and sundry to see for themselves. Some of the most popular herbs used in breast enhancement include herbs such as Fenugreek, Wild yam, Saw Palmetto, Dong Quai, Damiana, Blessed Thistle and many more. They all contain a common ingredient know and phyto-estrogens – which has the effects like those of estrogen on the body.

Research reveals exactly how phyto-estrogen works to help increasing the size of breasts in a natural way. Just like estrogen does during puberty or pregnancy, the ingredient in the herbs stimulates the growth of breast tissue thus augmenting them in a way the body is used to. The herbs are available in various forms depending on what each patient prefers. This could take the form of pills, creams and lotions and now even sprays are available.

Below are some of the most common herbs that are known to be effective:

Fenugreek seed: apart from increasing the size of breasts in a natural way the extract from this plant has been used to cure many other body complications. It is also used to treat symptoms associated with menopause and even increasing milk production in nursing mothers.

Saw Palmetto: this one also treats numerous other ailments such as impotence in men, prostrate enlargement, and is also known well to increase libido in women. It can also promote the health of a woman’s urinary tract and thyroid gland.

Wild yam: wild yam has phytonutrients that increase the size of the breast naturally and is also an herbal tonic that can alleviate symptoms associated with menopause and premenstrual discomforts.

Dong Quai: another herb that not only works on the breasts but is also known for its analgesic and acts as a good muscle relaxant.

Blessed Thistle: known for its powerful estrogenic properties as well as many other therapeutic properties.

All this herbs encourage breast enhancement by stimulating the mammary glands causing them to naturally promote the growth of breasts to become rounder and firmer enhancing the beautiful structure of a woman. Since breasts are made basically of fatty tissues, these herbs always cause an increase in both the glandular tissues and the accompanying fat tissues as well. This is usually accomplished without adding fat in areas of the body where it is not needed.

For even better results with breast enhancement using herbal treatment, it would be nice to begin doing some exercises that will also assist in giving you firmer chest muscles. A good exercise regime and a balanced diet together with a good mental attitude contribute a lot in the final results. Part of the plan may also include avoiding some foods that automatically injure your health.

What is ozone therapy? What about ozone therapy for periodontal disease, is it an effective treatment method?

Of course, to form an answer for the latter question, you have to know the answer to the former one. We are going to cover both in this article. Whether or not you have periodontal disease right now, the information provided can help you prepare for that eventuality. Ozone generators have been used since the mid 1800’s.

Ozone is considered to be a purifier. It occurs with oxygen – O2 – combines with an O1 which creates O3. O3 is actually ozone. Yes, yes, it sounds like a lot of chemistry based medical lingo – and it is. However, its application is not quite so complicated. The main thing to remember is that ozone is able to oxidize any and all pollution with which it comes in contact.

To create ozone in a medical environment, medical grade O2 has to be exposed to simulated lightning. Typically, this occurs with the help of an ozone generator which releases a field of electric discharge.

Through various chemical reactions and such, when ozone is released into the body, it will quickly disappear. As it does so, it reverts back into oxygen. At that point, it will then increase the oxygen in your body, which turns it into an extremely powerful oxidant. That oxidant can jump start your body’s antioxidant system.

Ozone can also be created at home with a home ozonator.

One of the things it can do through this process is kill bacteria – which is, of course, the primary cause behind periodontal disease. It can also boost your immune system, which also helps in fighting off the bacteria which causes all forms of gum disease.

It is believed that ozone therapy can be helpful with a number of other serious health problems as well, for much the same reason it is helpful in treating periodontal disease. Its effects are largely debated but there is a lot of evidence point to the fact that it can and will kill the various bacteria which leads to tooth and gum disease.

Disclaimer: If you have or think you might have gum disease or any other health problem, please visit your doctor or Periodontist for advice, diagnosis and treatment. This article is for information purposes only and does not intend to provide advice, diagnosis or treatment for any health condition. The USFDA has not evaluated statements about any products in this article.

Homeopathy medicine is a type of alternative medicine which has been practiced for centuries. Homeopathy remedies for women are quite abundant since there are a lot of sicknesses and conditions which care specific for women only. The process of producing homeopathy remedies for women is the same as producing other homeopathic cures and treatments for men and children.

Homeopathy Process

The process of producing homeopathy remedies for women, men and children involves diluting the substance which is derived from natural sources such as minerals, animals or plants. The element or substance is usually added to 99 parts alcohol or water and shaken in a vigorous manner. The manner of shaking the mixture makes for a well infused and integrated concoction. It is said the there are several strengths for the homeopathy remedies for women, men and children which can be produced by repeating the process several times. The more the process of mixing the one part of the initial mixture to another 99 parts of alcohol or water, the stronger and more effective the solution is said to be.

Since this form of alternative medicine is said to affect the inner vitality and energy of a person; the kind of person or attitude the individual has needs to be considered when giving prescriptions for homeopathy remedies for women, men and children. Homeopathy remedies for women and men focus on getting their vitality n shape in order to promote better health and eliminate the conditions.

Sepia and Pulsatilla are homeopathy remedies for women which care usually given to specific types of women to treat the same conditions and ailments. While treating more aggressive, independent and outspoken types of women sepia is given, and woman who is opposite to this are cured through pulsatilla. Both homeopathy medications for women are used in problems which are related to the reproductive cycle or organs of a woman. Other homeopathy remedies for women that treat PMS and menstrual pain are belladonna and chamomile. Lachesis and cimicifuga racemosa both treat symptoms and effects of menopause as well as hot flashes, mood swings and restlessness.

The reason why a lot of women prefer to use homeopathy remedies for women instead of traditional medicines may be due to the desire to be safe from chemical based medications and drugs which can bring other conditions and damage the liver and other important organs of the body. People nowadays are getting more and more aware of what their bodies need in terms of being healthy and safe.

Different cultures and nationalities have different methods in treating various illnesses. Something that is interesting to note is that Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Acupuncture are becoming more and more popular in helping to control menopausal symptoms.

Traditional Chinese Medicine views menopause as a time for a woman’s body to shut down the natural reproductive cycle in order to conserve her life energy, so that while she ages, she can retain all her resources.

A difference in Eastern culture, in comparison to Western culture, menopause is quite uneventful. The reason it is so different between cultures is that western women live a more fast-paced life, have more stress, and eat a poorer diet, thus exacerbating the symptoms of menopause.

Another believes in Traditional Chinese Medicine is that menopause is not a syndrome, but that the imbalance of hormones is wreaking havoc on the female body.

Acupuncture works through the belief that there are over 2000 acupuncture trigger points in the body. These triggers are all linked together in a group of 20 different pathways. Each pathway is responsible for conducting life force between the surface of the body, and the internal organs. It is believed that once the pathway is able to keep the life force flowing between these links, the body and the mind stay healthy.

Using acupuncture to control menopause symptoms varies from woman to woman. The acupuncturist will access which of the symptoms of menopause the woman is suffering from and then use the pathways to relieve her symptoms. Only certain pathways are used to relieve the individual symptoms a woman is experiencing. Every menopausal woman is treated as unique based on her symptoms.

Acupuncture is administered by the use of thin, solid needles that are inserted in targeted trigger points. The purpose of the needle is to help stimulate the pathways to encourage life force production. This could be done by placing the needles to the shoulders, arms, legs, and even the feet. When the needles are inserted correctly, there should be no pain, or bleeding, however, you may experience a slight tingling, or numbness that dissipates quickly. Treatment is known to be very relaxing and usually lasts about thirty minutes. It is also wise to remember that each woman and her symptoms are different. Using acupuncture as a means of treatment is usually a long, ongoing therapy. You may feel the effects right away or it may take months for you to feel the advantages of using acupuncture to treat your symptoms.

If you plan on using acupuncture to treat your symptoms of menopause, make sure that you visit a licensed acupuncture therapist to determine the most realistic, and productive course needed to treat your symptoms.

Can acupuncture help relieve the symptoms of Menopause? Yes, it can. It has been proven to relieve symptoms of hot flashes, insomnia, vaginal dryness, stress, and anxiety.

As with any treatment, make sure you research every method available and speak to your physician to make sure that you are getting all the treatment needed to maintain your hormonal imbalance during the transition of menopause.

Black cohosh is an herb that contains phytoestrogen. It can be used to relieve hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, incontinence, irritability, anxiety, headaches, & depression.

It is recommended that rather than diagnosing yourself, that you consult an alternative practitioner for a diagnosis of particular menopausal symptoms, assess overall health, discuss medical history, & prescribe dosage of herbs.

Personally, around the age of 46, I started to get some show-stopping cramps — after 32 years of being virtually cramp-free. I tried evening primrose oil & it worked beautifully. Shortly thereafter, I started to get an occasional hot flash & the evening primrose oil worked beautifully once again & I took it daily.

There was a period of time when I failed to replenish my supply & noticed the hot flashes again but now they were back with a vengeance. For about a 2-week period, I would be cold in the air-conditioning in my classroom with a jacket on, until a hot flash started. I’d have to come out of my jacket shortly thereafter & then I’d have to put my jacket back on shortly after the hot flash ended. I went through this several times during a school day. This same scenario continued in the evenings & at night. I would be under the covers until a hot flash started & then I’d take the cover off until shortly after the hot flash was over. I even came out of my sleep a couple of times with night sweats.

I determined to try dong quai or black cohosh & I found black cohosh first. I’m taking evening primrose & black cohosh daily & I am hot flash & night sweat free! Hallelujah!

I thank God for the herbs that He put on earth & for Him giving man the technology to put them in capsule or pill form. He has some awesome things for us all if we just seek after the truth — Jesus is the Truth — He is the Way, the Truth & the Life! (John 14:6)
